Yucca rostrata is a striking desert plant resembling a tree, with a thick trunk. The trunk is topped with a conspicuous rosette of thin, sharp leaves, gray or bluish-green in color. In summer it can produce clusters of white, bell-shaped flowers. It loves a sunny position and well-drained soil. The plant can tolerate temperatures down to -15°C once properly established. It grows slowly, is very hardy and is excellent for gardens, containers and landscaping.
